Danucera Diaries
Entry 14: Philadelphia Eagles' AJ Dillon
Tell us a little about yourself? I’m AJ Dillon—NFL running back, father, husband, card collector, and aspiring grill master. From New England , found a second home in Wisconsin, and now getting settled in Philly with the fam. Go birds!
Which is your favorite Danucera product and why? The Cerabalm, hands down. It’s like a reset button for your skin—simple, effective, no fluff. Plus, I can use it when I travel or after a long day of training and feel instantly refreshed.
Why do you choose Danucera for your skincare routine? It just works. I don’t need 30 steps, I need something clean, high-quality, and reliable. Danucera makes it easy to stay consistent, and that’s what makes the biggest difference for me!

"Don’t put yourself last. It’s easy to get caught up in work, parenting, everything—but when you feel good, you show up better for your family. Even small things, like a quick workout or a solid skincare routine, make a big difference!"

Q: Do you think dads today are setting a new standard for what self-care and grooming look like for future generations of boys?
AJ: Absolutely. The old “tough it out and don’t talk about it” mindset is fading. Dads are showing it’s okay to take care of yourself—mentally, physically, and yeah, even your skin. And that’s a good thing!
Q: If you could teach your son just one skincare lesson to carry into adulthood, what would it be and why?
AJ: Keep it clean and stay consistent. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about taking care of yourself a little bit every day.
Q: Do you have any special father-son routines, even this early on (doesn’t have to be skincare related!)?
AJ: When we can we try to make it to the kids day at Home Depot and we make arts and crafts together me and him.

Q: How’s your little one adapting to Philly life so far? Any fun moments exploring the city as a family?
AJ: "He’s been loving it so far! Especially the walks and all the new sounds and sights. We’ve hit a couple parks and tried out some local food spots that my wife and I share on our food Instagram Dining with the Dillons."
Q: As a dad and pro athlete, what’s one piece of advice you’d give to other dads about staying confident and taking care of yourself?
AJ: "Don’t put yourself last. It’s easy to get caught up in work, parenting, everything—but when you feel good, you show up better for your family. Even small things, like a quick workout or a solid skincare routine, make a big difference!"

Q: What’s been the biggest surprise about fatherhood and how has it impacted how you approach life both on the field and at home?
AJ: "How instantly everything shifts. It’s like my priorities reprogrammed overnight, in the best way. I approach the game with more purpose, and I’m learning to be more patient at home, even if I’m sore or tired."
