Danucera Diaries
Entry 43: Elisa Kaylin
Tell us more about yourself?
"I'm Elisa Kaylin, but almost everyone calls me Eli. I grew up in Austin, Texas, but Miami Beach has been home for the last 25 years. I'm a wife, a mom to two energetic little boys, and the founder of Fuze House.
Before opening Fuze House, I spent nearly a decade teaching fitness. Those years shaped so much of who I am because I wasn't just leading workouts, I was building relationships. I learned that people come for the workout, but they stay because of how they're made to feel.
That idea became the foundation of Fuze House. Community has always been at the heart of everything we do. Creating spaces where people feel welcomed, connected and inspired is what motivates me every single day."
"I couldn't live without the Mega Serum. My skin absolutely loves it."

Q: What has been the driving force behind Fuze House's growth and strong community following?
Eli: "I think we've always focused on people before anything else. Of course we care about creating an incredible workout and beautiful spaces, but the real goal has always been making people feel like they belong. We know our members by name, we celebrate their milestones, and we've created an environment where friendships naturally happen.
I never wanted Fuze House to feel transactional. I wanted it to feel like somewhere you'd look forward to going, whether it was for class, a coffee afterward, or simply seeing familiar faces. When people genuinely feel connected, they bring their friends, their family, and they become part of building the community alongside us. That's been the biggest driver of our growth."
Q: As a founder, mother of two, and someone building a business alongside your husband, what have been the most rewarding and unexpected lessons you've learned about balancing family life and entrepreneurship?
Eli: "The biggest lesson has been letting go of the idea that balance means everything gets equal attention every day. Some days my family needs me more, and other days the business does. I've learned to give myself grace and trust that it all evens out over time.
Building Fuze House alongside my husband has also been incredibly rewarding. We each have different strengths, and while working together definitely comes with its challenges, it's also allowed us to build something that feels so personal to our family.
Watching our boys grow up seeing us chase a dream together has been really special. I hope one day they remember that they watched their parents work hard, support one another, and build something with purpose."
Q: Montauk Fuze House feels more than a fitness studio – with the café, retail experience, and community programming it has become a true destination. What inspired this vision and what are you most excited for people to experience this summer?
Eli: "I've always believed wellness is so much bigger than movement. A great workout is only one piece of feeling your best. When we dreamed up our Montauk location, we wanted to create somewhere people could spend their morning, not just fifty minutes. A place where you could take class, grab a matcha or coffee at Café Fuze, browse and shop for beautiful retail, catch up with friends, and just slow down a little.
There's something about being out East that instantly makes me feel more grounded, and I wanted to create a space that captured that feeling. I'm most excited to see people making Fuze House part of their summer traditions, whether they're locals who stop by every week or visitors discovering us for the very first time."
Q: What are some of your favorite hidden gems, local spots or summer traditions in the Hamptons that you look forward to every summer?
Eli: "Even though this is only my second summer out East, I've already found a few places I always recommend. For a healthy, delicious lunch in Montauk, I love Joni's and Bambi's. Amber Waves Farm is another favorite, especially with my boys. They love feeding the chickens and goats, and it's such a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. I also love their market and how they celebrate local farmers and seasonal food. It has such a great sense of community.
Wölffer Estate is another place our family loves. Friday evenings with the live music are so special. Watching all the kids dancing on the lawn while everyone gathers with a glass of wine and a picnic is one of those experiences that perfectly captures summer in the Hamptons.
For dinner, Crow's Nest, Nick & Toni's, and Alba Spiaggia are always at the top of my list. And whenever my husband and I can carve out an evening together, Sunset Beach is one of our favorite spots. It's a bit of a destination for us, but the energy, the people, and the beautiful setting make it worth the trip every time."
Q: Fuze House and Danucera both share a philosophy centered around feeling confident, strong and radiant from the inside out. What do you think is the connection between movement, skincare and overall wellbeing?
Eli: "To me, they're all part of the same conversation. Movement is how I take care of my body. Skincare is how I take care of myself in a different way. Neither is about perfection or chasing an unrealistic standard. They're daily rituals that help you feel your best. When you consistently make time for yourself, whether that's taking a workout class, sticking to your skincare routine, or simply slowing down for a few minutes, you show up differently. You feel more confident, more energized, and more present. That's what wellbeing is really about!"
Q: Amid building a business, raising a family and staying active, what role does skincare play in your daily routine – is it a luxurious moment of self-care or a way to set the tone for the busy day ahead?
Eli: "Honestly, it's both. Life is busy, especially with two little boys, so those few quiet minutes in the morning and evening before bed are something I genuinely look forward to. It's a small ritual that's just for me before the day takes off. I've learned that self-care doesn't always have to be an hour at the spa. Sometimes it's simply creating little moments you don't skip."
Q: Walk us through your morning ritual – from your favorite workout class to the one Danucera product you can't start your day without.
Eli: "Being out East instantly slows me down in the best way. My youngest is usually up before 6 am, so our mornings start with a little snuggle time. Then it's coffee, my skincare routine (which I never skip), and either a workout or a morning tennis session. After that, I'm usually heading to our Montauk location to check in with the team. I have my mid-day favorite Pistachio Matcha Latte from Café Fuze. It's become my morning ritual. If I had to pick just one Danucera product I couldn't live without, it would probably be the Mega Serum. My skin absolutely loves it."
Q: Have you discovered a Danucera product that went from 'maybe' to absolute 'must have?'
Eli: "Definitely Cerabalm. At first I wasn't sure how often I'd actually reach for it, and now it's one of those products I never want to be without. It's become such a staple in my routine. I've also completely fallen in love with the Mega Serum and Iconic Eye, and the body cream has quickly become another favorite. They're all products that actually fit into real life, which I really appreciate."
Q: What is your go-to Danucera essential(s) for a full summer day out East - from early beach mornings to long days at Montauk Fuze House?
Eli: "My summer bag is pretty simple because I'm usually bouncing between a workout, Fuze House and chasing my boys around.
The Cerabalm is always a must first step in my skincare routine, it helps keep my skin moisturized all day long. Then the Mega Serum and Iconic Eye Cream! Lately I've also been loving the Luxera body cream because after a long day in the sun, my skin really craves that extra hydration.
Summer beauty, to me, is all about healthy, hydrated skin that lets you spend less time getting ready and more time enjoying where you are."
